Based at Breakheart Community project are one step closer to setting up creative spaces for those challenged by invisible illnesses

New renovated space for MARISA In the small compound

Marisa’s Headroom

The workshops will be supported by local facilitators who have experience in one to one support and passion in support through creativity through community based work. We have been motivated and inspired by enquiries to set up such a place we are  committed and enthused that Breakheart CP would be perfect.

It’s our intention to keep the classes small,, maybe 4 or 5 per workshop, especially initially whilst we will be adhering to the Government restrictions currently. It will probably be on a 6 week cycle. Offering opportunities for those wanting to take part..

Our aim is to take advantage of Breakheart’s wonderful relaxing, stimulating environment to develop a safe space to deliver a program of person cantered, activities.  Options ranging from growing produce in our purpose made raised beds, to sewing a cushion cover, from making a memory journal to making your own earnings, or up-cycling a small piece of furniture.. So you get the idea.

The project is embryonic, so not set in stone.  Much like life itself,  it may well change, particularly at various developmental stages.  But one thing is for certain this is happening, and happening in Your community.

Refreshments will be available in the setting, as are toilet facilities.

I’m sure there are many questions, please bare with us, as we’re starting from scratch – and am only putting this out there due to the amount of enquiries already coming in.

This project is fully supported by the existing Volunteer Team of Breakheart Community Project and as with all the other works, activities,  site maintenance and  management that happen at Breakheart are dependant on voluntary  contributions, as will ‘Marisa’s Headroom’s’
