about us

Breakheart Community Project was created in 2009 by a group of dedicated locals who obtained a lease to manage the area (from NDA (Nuclear Decommissioning Authority) who ceased actively using the space in 2000) in order to keep the beauty of the landscape, restore the area to its former natural glory and to allow the local community access as a place for learning and leisure.

Today it is used by many people for exactly that.
Just some of the activities available
at Breakheart include -
mountain biking, walking, photography,
child play and picnics, fitness and well-being sessions.
